The Chosen Few Arts Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of residents in Genesee County by providing arts education opportunities to under served communities. Their art education program is hosted in the historic Berston Field House.
Their mission is to promote positive cultural and artistic expression that engages residents in the discovery of their own artistic talents – an art education model that nurtures values The Hagerman Foundation feels are important to our community. The Chosen Few Arts Council program offerings include photography, pottery, ballroom dancing, writing, yoga, drawing and more. Programs are community-driven, and are led by local, skilled artisans from within the community.
Awarding a grant to The Chosen Few Arts Council has brought new art programs to Berston Field House that stimulate and develop both the imagination and critical-thinking skills of participants. Through high-quality, low-cost arts experiences, Berston Field House provides children a safe place off the streets to make healthy and productive choices.
With their vision to be an artistic conduit for the enrichment and development of our community, The Hagerman Foundation is pleased to support The Chosen Few Arts Council’s enhanced art education programming.
